TRAVEL

We are overjoyed that you are willing to travel across the pond to partake in our special day. We cannot extend our gratitude enough.

Priority List

The things you must have taken care of before saying, “I do” to our wedding.

1. Passports

If you do not have a passport, the LAST DAY to submit all information for your passport to arrive in time is March 16, 2026. If not, there is no guarantee that it will arrive in time.

2. United Kingdom Electronic Travel Authorization

Effective January 8, 2025, all U.S. citizens transiting through or traveling to the United Kingdom for tourism, family visits, business meetings, conferences, or short-term study for 6 months or less will require an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to travel. Information on the new requirements and how to apply can be found on the UK Government website.

3. Begin Looking at Flights & Hotels

We recommend booking flights 6-8 months in advance.

Pro tip: It might be cheaper to fly from a different airport. If you want to begin your travel early, a flight to a larger city in the UK or EU might be cheaper than flying direct to Edinburgh. Once you’ve hopped the pond, flight prices drastically change! To find a good discount on flights, we love Matt’s Flights newsletter.
